The private tuition industry is one which is expanding fast across the UK. Pupils want the mode of learning which is the most effective way of meeting their needs, and private tuition is often the way to do this.
From children at the earliest stages of primary school where tutors make learning fun, to retired professionals who wish to learn a new skill, private tuition benefits all types of people with a variety of objectives. Private tuition covers a range of different types of tutoring in the UK. The best advice for pupils is to be clear about what you are looking for before you start searching for a tutor.
Private tuition is a very rewarding job. Seeing your pupils develop over time is incredibly satisfying. However, this will only happen where a tutor and pupil develop a relationship of trust with one another. Without this, it will be very difficult to help a pupil grow. Also, private tutors know that private tuition is not school. Sessions should be relaxed but at the same time, a tutor must be able to encourage and "stretch" a pupil where necessary. Of course, it does take time for a tutor to find this balance with every pupil, but having these essential aspects in mind from the beginning will make the tutoring session as beneficial as possible for the pupil and tutor alike.
