What makes Tutors' Alliance the first choice for tutors and pupils alike?
1. We put the safety of pupils first. All tutors must have a recent Enhanced Disclosure Scotland or CRB certificate which is renewed annually. Lots of tutors don't have these and some agencies don't require Enhanced Disclosures either. All agencies who are affiliates of Tutors' Alliance do stipulate that their tutors have Enhanced Disclosures.
2. We don't charge commission to tutors or pupils. Tutors pay an annual membership fee. All our services for pupils and parents are provided free of charge.
3. We have tutors from all different backgrounds. Whether you're looking for a qualified teacher with years of classroom experience or a native speaker of a particular language, we have tutors to meet your needs. Tutors' Alliance members have a number of key skills relevant to tutoring the subject at the required level. This allows pupils to choose the tutor most suited to their needs.
4. Tutors' Alliance represents tutors, pupils and agencies at national level, including lobbying the government.
5. Tutors' Alliance establishes very close working relationships with their tutors. We want to know what makes our tutors tick so we invest time in meeting with them and catching up with them regularly.
6. Tutors' Alliance is committed to the development of quality tuition which is why we provide workshops to tutors.
7. Tutors' Alliance is run by a tutor and so we have first-hand knowledge of how tutoring works on a day-to-day basis.
8. Tutors' Alliance is an award-winning company. We won the Scottish Institute for Enterprise Bootcamp:09 competition in September 2009.
