One of the aims of Tutors' Alliance has always been to improve the private tuition industry by promoting tutors who are capable and qualified to be a tutor. Workshops are open to all Tutors' Alliance members. Valerie's experience as a tutor forms the basis of the content but the workshops' real success rely on the active participation of the tutors. Tutors' Alliance has consulted with a wide range of specialists to devise particular aspects of the course.
The workshops are a three-hour course designed to give all tutors a basic knowledge of the Essentials of Tutoring. For those of you new to tutoring, it is a great place to start getting ideas. For those with more tutoring experience, the course will give you new ideas and act as a springboard for further success. Our aim is to help you excel as a tutor.
The secondary function of the course is to allow tutors to meet fellow tutors and share experiences with one another. There is an accompanying workbook and interactive sessions throughout the session - Tutors' Alliance wants you to be as involved as possible. All attendees will receive a certificate to show that they participated in The Essentials of Tutoring workshop.
Numbers at the workshop will be set at a maximum of 20. If you are interested in attending a workshop, please contact us for details of the next available dates. The next programme of workshops will commence in the autumn. |
