Tutors' Alliance is the organisation that promotes professional tuition in the UK. Tutors’ Alliance was set up by Valerie Kemp LLB (Hons.) with the aim of providing information and resources for three groups -
 
  • Free information and advice about tutoring.
  • The contact details of private tutors who are members of Tutors' Alliance, free of charge.
 
  • Membership of Tutors' Alliance including the Tutor Check, a report detailing a tutor's qualifications, experience and credentials. The tutor shows the Tutor Check to pupils as confirmation that he or she has been vetted by a professional organisation.
  • Marketing through our referrals system - pupils looking for tutors are given member tutors' contact details for free.
  • Training through our Tutor Workshops.
  • Networking opportunities.
  • We also lobby the government for improved Regulation of the tuition industry.
  • Tutor Checks - outsource your vetting and reference checking systems.
  • Affiliate status - join forces with the UK-wide professional membership organisation for tutors to add credibility to your business.
  • Training for tutors adapted to your organisation's needs.
